Nursery care is available during our worship service for children birth - 4 years. Sunday school for age 5 - 5th grade is offered during the worship service.
Food DriveThanks to all who participated in our food drive last week and those who are serving on Saturday, April 27 staffing a shopping cart out in front of Dissmore's to encourage our neighbors to contribute items for the food bank. These two events are part of our emphasis on being the hands and feet of Jesus outside our Sunday worship time. Please join us as we take our mission outside the church doors!
Learning through Luke!Pastor Todd is leading a group through the book of Luke each Sunday morning before worship at 9:15. Starting with Chapter 1 on Jan 13 and covering a new chapter every week, we'll explore how Luke uses his gospel to shape our understanding of Jesus. Come once or come every week. Pastor Todd is an excellent teacher with a wealth of knowledge about Scripture and historical context.
Campus Ministry - Spring Break Mission TripPastor Alissa Bertsch-Johnson led a group of 12 to Portland Oregon during WSU Spring Break to help with a community garden and to work with other community service organizations. We give thanks for their safe return, the success of the trip and that both our group and those they served are inspired to know the presence of Jesus Christ.
A Place for PrayerYou are invited to Morning Office, a traditional time of prayer and scripture reading. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:15 am in the Chapel at the back of the sanctuary, either Pastor Todd or Pam will be present to lead this important component of discipleship. Setting aside a specific time and place makes it more likely that we will fit this important discipline into our busy lives. Make time to pray, rest in God's presence and reflect on His gifts to us. Our prayer time is brief (less than 30 minutes) and includes praying the psalms, reading scripture and offering prayers for our community. Come once or often-you will be glad you did!
Grounds for Faith - for young adults and grad students - Cafe Moro, Sunday at 7:30 pmA time of coffee, fellowship and discussion. Usually there's a weighty subject to start the discussion, but there are plenty of light-hearted times mixed in. Contact Pastor Alissa for more information. 509.879.2278. Inspire! Mid-week dinner and celebration for college studentsA group of Christian college students meets each week at the Interfaith House for a home-cooked meal followed by music, prayer and reflection. It's a close-knit group that always has room for 1 or 2 more! For more information, contact Pastor Alissa at 509.879.2278.
