United Methodist Women

It was a pleasure to host the UMW Inland District meeting on Saturday, Sept. 17.  We had over 60 members from around the District attending.  Thanks to all who participated and especially for the donations of items for assembling layette kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)..

All women of our Methodist church are United Methodist Women members when they are active in one or more of the following traditions:  pledging, joining a small group (Circles, Wednesday Friends), supporting women’s projects in the church, and/or attending monthly meetings.  Our small groups are constantly evolving in their mission to the church and to women and children everywhere.

Methodist Women have been an important force in the Pullman church since the 1890s; our purpose is;
- To know God through study, worship, and prayer
- To experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, growing in knowledge of ourselves and devotion to God
- To develop a creative supportive fellowship
- To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church, participating in God's plan that we love our neighbors

Our local United Methodist Women’s group donates over $7,000 a year to local, national, and International projects. To fulfill our commitments, money is raised in pledges by women, catering, and from an investment we have in the stock market from money that was left to our group by a UMW member.

Current meeting time for several of our small groups are:

Dorcas Circle – Meets 3rd Wed. at 9:30 a.m.

Martha Circle - Meets 2nd Tuesday 7:30 p.m.

All are welcome at any of our eight general meetings throughout the year. Six are during the lunch hour with a program and two are evening meetings-one a December Christmas Dinner and one a May Family evening dinner.  Contact the church office for more information about UMW and meeting locations.
