Praise Band
The SUMC Praise Team is dedicated to raising the spirits of the congregation while offering sound musical experiences which align with the particular theme of each Sunday's 10:30 service. The music we present/lead represent various genres and styles and always strives to present the music in a way that is both easy to learn and is ultimately uplifting! Anyone can join the Praise Team. If you sing or play an instrument we would love to have you join us. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:30 and we serve each Sunday from 10 to 11:45 AM. This is a wonderful ministry of the church and we always look forward to having new members provide ministry by offering their special talents. Adult Choir
The adult choir at SUMC offers an opportunity for those folks who enjoy singing (or wish to learn) to offer their gifts each month for the 9 AM service. Music ranges from traditional hymns to contemporary arrangements of choral music. Anyone from the ages of 14 - 80 are welcome to join. Rehearsals take place Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30. Handbell Choir
The Simpson Handbell choir is open to all ages from age 12 to age 112! We play on 3 octaves of Schulmerich bells and 3 octaves of Malmark chimes. Our weekly rehearsals are typically on Wednesday evenings at 7pm - 8pm or sometimes a little longer. We perform two pieces every other month, usually in the traditional service. The choir is open to anyone who enjoys worshiping God through music, whether experienced in handbells or not.
